Hello! I’m Hannah.
I was born in San Francisco, grew up in Berkeley, and lived for a while in Princeton, New Jersey. Now I live just south of San Francisco and just east of the Pacific Ocean, with my husband Kyle and our two little boys. I’m passionate about food and food justice, I love local, I believe in organic, and I think the choices we each make about feeding our families have profound impact on the world.
My mom loved to grow vegetables and to bake, my dad’s a stickler for nightly family dinners, and my stepmom taught me her reverence for tried-and-true recipes. Because of them I’m an avid home cook, and try to spend time in the kitchen every day with my family. Inherit the Spoon is where I share recipes and stories; most of all it’s my place to practice writing and share my thoughts about the food my family’s eating.
Thanks so much for visiting – and please, say hi! I love your comments and try to respond to each one. You can also contact me directly at inheritthespoon[at]gmail[dot]com.
